Born in Sapporo, Japan and based in Los Angeles, California the entertainment capital of the world, Tadato Miller is a composer, sound designer and film director. He studied film sound under the mentorship of the renowned Russell Williams II, winner of two Academy Awards for Sound, at California State University Northridge. Miller’s acclaimed short film "EN DANGERED" tells a captivating, mysterious tale set in a house, isolated within a vast forest and enveloped by a fierce snowstorm. With its striking atmosphere and artistic production design, the film has captivated audiences, earning the prestigious Hokkaido Selection Award at the 2023 Sapporo International Short Film Festival.
Tadato Miller has crafted an original soundscape for the BOTANICA MUSEUM, with each artwork resonating with its unique composition. The acoustics are masterfully tailored to the museum’s various spaces, creating a dynamic, multi-sensory environment that shifts the atmosphere depending on your surroundings, inviting you to discover new dimensions of sound, sensation, and beauty at every turn.
Miller composed the original score for IKIGAI, a short film directed by Maren Emiko Elardo. Drawing on traditional Japanese instruments, his music plays a crucial role in infusing the narrative with emotional resonance, elevating the film’s storytelling and adding a rich cultural depth to its overall impact.

His music blends modern hybrid orchestral scores with Celtic influences and synthesizers to create a unique sound that resonates across films, video games and various other forms of media.
In addition, Miller pioneered a new genre called "8-bit Lofi" blending chiptune with lofi hip-hop to create an innovative sound that continues to captivate listeners worldwide. He continues to share his music with the world under the artist name TAD ON.
